LG's Tasty Kreations, the aim is to share our love of vegan, vegetarian home cooking, which satisfies both the hunger and taste buds of those who seek a healthier lifestyle. I am Lennox Ann and my business partner is Grace Ann, we have been practicing vegetarians (leaning more towards veganism) for over a decade and we wanted to extend our wealth of knowledge and experience with others. Our goal is to serve those who are already practicing a healthy diet but far beyond is to reach those who want to but think its unachievable.
As a child, I hated vegetables, my mother had to find creative ways for me to enjoy them and even then sometimes I still wouldn’t eat them. As I matured, I started to get more health-conscious, I decided that I would rather spend on healthy foods than on medication and doctor visits! My transition was slow but I started to notice changes in my body, I lost 20lbs and was able to keep it off, I felt more energetic. I understand that it can be difficult to make the transition, however, I encourage you to plan your meals, choose fresh organic produce if possible and always the season to your taste as most recipes tend to be bland.
We are creatures of habit! The way we eat affects the way we think, which affects the choices we make. I know most of us don't think that far or even believe that our eating habits affect our choices, well, as I watched an episode from Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, it was confirmed to me as she interviewed rapper Common, she asked him how he was able to overcome his addiction to alcohol, his answer was exactly as I said earlier, he changed his eating habits or lifestyle and by making that simple change he was able to control everything else in his life!! Isn’t that amazing!
Here’s a simple creamy Butternut squash soup recipe to try :
2 Small Butternut squash (or 1 large) (chopped)
3 - 4 stacks of carrot (chopped)
2 clove of garlic 1 tomato 1 onion Thyme leaves Badia sazón
Tropical Seasoning Cayenne or scotch bonnet pepper
Bring water to a boil, add chopped squash, carrots and seasoning (and remember season to taste)
